Its nickname pays homage to the historic feat of James Cameron, director and explorer, who in 2012 completed the deepest solo dive ever, reaching nearly 11,000 meters in the Mariana Trench. To celebrate this event, Rolex designed a unique dial with a blue-to-black gradient , symbolizing the gradual descent of light into the abyss.

The 44 mm Oyster case in Oystersteel impresses with its proportions and prominent lugs , giving it a powerful presence on the wrist. The unidirectional rotating bezel in black Cerachrom ceramic, graduated in 60 minutes, is designed for professional use.

The D-Blue dial features large Chromalight luminescent hour markers and hands , ensuring exceptional legibility even in total darkness. The date at three o'clock , topped with a Cyclops lens, provides optimal readability. At nine o'clock, the watch is equipped with the renowned helium escape valve , essential for saturation diving.

Powered by a Rolex-manufactured 3235 automatic movement, it is considered one of the most advanced and refined ever developed by the brand. This new-generation caliber was introduced by Rolex to simultaneously improve precision, reliability, shock resistance, and power reserve, offering approximately 70 hours of operation, while maintaining a robust architecture suited to extreme conditions.

The Deepsea 126660 features the Ring Lock System , a patented case architecture that provides exceptional water resistance to 3,900 meters (12,800 feet) . The screw-down Rolex Triplock crown further enhances the watch's security and reliability. This particular model has been tested and its water resistance has passed the 50 bar test.

The Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel, with a circumference of approximately 19 cm , features a Rolex folding clasp with an extension system, offering comfort and robustness in all circumstances.
